FASH 283 Sustainable Fashion Practice This course provides an overview of sustainable fashion design, merchandising and business practices and develops students' abilities to make informed and ethical decisions at all stages of the fashion process, from ideation to implementation to disposal. The course will include seminars, guest speakers and hands-on exercises in which students will become versed in sustainable materials, supply chain, the lifecycle of clothing and critical design strategies such as upcycling, zero-waste pattern cutting, design for longevity and craft preservation.
